Meet Mark & Andrea
We share a fairy tale beginning from true “love at first sight” to the wonderful Christian home we share with our three children. We met on the campus of East Georgia College on the first day of classes and have been “sweethearts” since that moment!
Our studio grew purely out of Mark’s love for photography and Andrea’s love for people. Since he first picked up a camera at fourteen years of age, he realized he possessed a gift for expressing the sensitive person he was through the images he created. Through Andrea’s insistence he began to share his love for photography with friends and family. Both growing up with parents who operated family businesses, it was the beginning of the ideal life for Mark & Andrea to share their days and their art and genuine love for people through their studio.
Mark Williams Studio has been selected “Best Photography Studio” by the local newspaper for six consecutive years.
Mark grew up in Charlotte, N. C. in a family of five boys. He graduated from Myers Park High School and was fortunate to complete a college level program in photography while still in high school. (Myers Park’s photography program still is heralded as one of the best high school photography programs in the nation.) Before graduating he was awarded the Kodak/Scholastic Medallion of Excellence in black and white imaging. In this same competition he received two other awards of excellence.
He was the recipient of The Georgia Professional Photographers Association Memorial Scholarship.
Mark is an active member of Professional Photographers of America, Southeastern Professional Photographers of America, the Georgia Professional Photographers Association and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. He has been a proud member of the local Exchange Club since graduating from college. He is the current president, served as president from 2001 to 2002, and has served on the Board of Directors numerous times. He has been on the Sunshine House Regional Child Abuse Advocacy Center Board of Diretors for numerous years. Both local organizations support the prevention of child abuse.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia Southern University and was selected Friendliest girl in her senior class at Swainsboro High School. She is devoted to the couples’ three daughters. Family history is her favorite hobby. The preservation of genealogy through family photographs is one of her passions.
The couple is very involved in Swainsboro First Baptist Church where they work with the church youth group “Focus”. Mark is currently a deacon and both have served in numerous capacities involving planning, leadership and missions work.
Our goal is to work with you to create wonderfully touching and moving portraits that show love and share that beautiful feeling long after the moment has passed. We will capture portraits that speak to your heart.
